“Keyboard Money Mike wanted to work for me as a sound engineer on one of my tours. I told him I couldn’t hire a Hip Hop Legend that I admired dearly.” Says Alicia Keys, “I preferred a musical collaboration with Hip Hop’s true legendary producer.”
After beginning his career as a child prodigy of sorts, Keyboard Money Mike went on to have a long and varied career in the music game, and was involved in the earliest records of Ultramagentic MC’s and KRS-One before he was made the Vice President of B-Boy Records.
He hanged out with greats like Kool Herc, Africa Bambaataa, Grand Master Flash, Grand Master Cas and others in the early 80’s.
These days he’s involved with everything from producing dance music in Europe to TV commercials.
